We provide scholarships in the hospitality\/culinary fields and focus on local community charities.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background\">Featured: Recent Fundraiser<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2nd Annual Outriggers Tiki Bar &amp; Grille Silent Auction for our Heroes Nearly Doubles Donation from 2022<\/strong>\u200d<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>\u200d<\/strong>VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL (Wednesday, October 4, 2023) \u2013 In partnership with The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization named after a New York City firefighter killed on September 11, 2001, Outriggers Community Foundation is honored to announce their recent donation of $71,660 was delivered to local heroes. The 2nd Annual Outriggers Tiki Bar &amp; Grill Benefit and Silent Auction for the heroes took place on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in New Smyrna Beach with hundreds in support.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was an emotional day filled with memories and acknowledgement of our heroes from 9\/11 and the families that Tunnel to Towers supports. Among the honorable guests were Sadia Baxter whose husband and father of three young girls was killed in the line of duty. Ms. Baxter was connected almost immediately by Tunnel to Towers who let her know that her mortgage was being paid off by the organization. Gold Star Recipient Jillian Hinton was also in attendance and was awarded a mortgage-free home to help support her and their children after she lost her husband while he was on active duty.<\/p>\r\n<p>The team at Outriggers raised funds through local support and sponsorship weeks before the auction and nearly doubled the funds donated last year of $37,250 making the total donation of $108,910 in a little over a year.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u201cWe are honored to partner with Tunnel to Towers Foundation and are proud of its accomplishments including committing more than $250 million in support of our nation\u2019s greatest heroes and their families.
